Welcome!

Our purpose is to share our experiences of living with the BRCA gene mutation and dealing with the consequences of the mutation. Our goal is to exchange lessons learned and hopefully spurn discussions. We realize some of those discussions are uncomfortable and frightening while others are embarrassing. We are not medical doctors and refer you to appropriate medical personnel for diagnosis and treatment.

As many of you know, I had skin cancer removed from my left arm 9/10/2001 and I had my thyroid with several cancerous lymph nodes removed on November 13, 2020. Yes, it was Friday the 13th in the year unlike all other years. I completed the radiation treatment February 2021. A month later a full body scan revealed no traces of the cancer.
